Cape Colonial Forces. Hon. Colonel First City Volunteers, commanding MARSHALL's Horse during the Anglo-Boer War until he fell, severely wounded, gallantly leading his Regiment into action at Israel's poort O.R. Born Hungerford, Berkshire, England 1848. Died at Grahamstown 1907.
