Cemetery information:- Morley Wesleyan Mission was established by Rev. William Shepstone in May 1829 as the 4th in the chain of missions stretching out from Wesleyville on a tributary of the Tyolomnqa River, to the amaTshomane at the kraal of Depa at Nomadolo, just east of the Mthatha River. The new mission was destroyed in a raid by Nqeto of the amaQwabe from Natal/Zululand on the amaTshomane in October 1829, following his raid on Faku’s amaPondo. A year later Shepstone re-established the mission at Wilo with the amaTshomane who had moved just west of the Mthatha River. In 1863 Morley Mission moved again to a site closer to Mqanduli town.
