Your record throughout that prolonge struggle was unsur.... In presenting you this standard, which my brother the King has been pleased to direct is to be entrusted to your care, I know it will be ..lously and carefully guarded and I trust it will help to emulate those that join your regiment to maintain its unblemished name for heroism and patriotism."
