Additional information from Robyn received June 2020:
A few years ago I found information on James Cundill Tranmer who is buried in the Malton farm cemetery near Pietermaritzburg. Some of the details on the gravestone where worn away. I have found a notice of his death from the Natal Witness. This gives his date of death as 30 July 1878. The notice appeared in the Witness dated the 3rd August 1878.TRANMER James Cundill (?) Death 30 Jul 1878 at Prospect Place near Pmburg; son of Wilhem(?) & Sarah Tranmer aged 3 years (death date unclear)
