COPELAND Marjorie Lawrence -1968

Notes on M L COPELAND

She was born 26/8/1894 d.o. Henry Alfred COPELAND and Edith Elizabeth HOLLOWAY and died 8/8/1968. 6 siblings.

Victoria Girls' High School magazine 1967/68 Obituary
Miss Marjorie COPELAND
It was with great regret that we learned of the death of Miss COPELAND who was for many years a Matron at Renfrew and Ruthville Hostels.
During her time at this school Miss COPELAND endeared herself to the girls because of her many worthwhile qualities. She tried to make the girls in her charge feel at home. Always cheerful, with a keen sense of duty, a kind heart and a quiet but firm sense of discipline, she managed the girls in her care with ease and they loved to be with her. She was a most worthwhile colleague, for nothing was too much trouble for Miss COPELAND and her cheerful sense of humour helped her to enrich not only her life but ours as well. To her relatives we express our most sincere sympathy. M G RICHARDSON (Principal)
