Album information:- The gardens are the oldest garden in South Africa. It was established in 1652 by Jan van Riebeeck, at the top of Adderley Street. The idea was to supply fresh vegetables to the passing ships. The garden is well kept with lovely old trees, beautiful lawns, tea garden and squirrels. It makes for a lovely outing. Should you get tired of feeding the squirrels; you can always visit the planetarium and nearby museums. eGGSA captions by: Alta Griffiths The GGSA Cemetery DVD only has information on the location of the cemetery Cemetery ID: 3009 Information submitted by: Alta Griffiths Google Earth Project Information:- GPSID: 3605 GPS: -33 55.698, 18 24.977
