Inhabitants of Worcester in grateful remembrance of John RAINIER Esq. formerly Captain in H.M. 98 REGIANA subsequently Civil Commissioner of Riversdale, Malmesbury and Worcester, who closed a career of usefulness and a life of benevolence at Worcester August 11 1869,in the 59th year of his age. This stone has been placed above the remains of one whose official integrit amiable disposition and Christian character had won for him the respect, esteem and affection of all classes.
