Francisca BARBER, most pious wife of Capt. James BARBER, who accomoanied her husband on his way from the Island of Bombay to China. Being great with child, remained here at Malacca: where, when the period of her pregnancy was complete, while the hospitable Batavian people vainly laboured for the life and safety of their guest, before she was relieved of her dread burden, she sank beneath its weight, on the 10th day of September 1695.
